Privacy
This site does not collect anything about you. What follows is what that means in practice.
WHAT WE RUN
There are no analytics, no advertising trackers, no accounts and no forms on this site, and we set no cookies of our own.
WHAT STILL HAPPENS
- Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard access logs — IP address, browser user agent, the page requested — in order to serve and protect the site. We do not use them to build profiles of readers.
- Spotify’s player. Article pages embed Spotify’s official player. When such a page loads, Spotify receives the request and may set its own cookies. That processing is Spotify’s own, under Spotify’s privacy policy.
THE BETA DESKTOP APP
The Mac app runs on your own computer. The Spotify connection and the listening history it keeps stay on that computer: we operate no server that receives them.
To produce narration audio, the text of an article — not anything about you — is sent to Google Cloud Text-to-Speech. Removing the app and its data folder removes everything it stored.
